With regards to my Taobao/China shopping service, from 24 January to 4 February, the warehouse and logistics team I work with is on break, so I am unable to place any orders or process any shipments during this period.
You are still welcome to send your orders, but there's not much I can do aside from receiving payment from you. The sellers may not be able to check their stock so I wouldn't recommend ordering during this time.
Exception: It is highly unlikely that sellers will release any limited order period item during Chinese New Year, but if there are any such orders, I can place the order using my own account.
Please be reminded that made to order items (e.g. cosplay, lolita) will take a longer time than usual to complete because the factories will be closed for the holidays. If you place your order now, unless the seller otherwise states, expect your purchase to only be ready in mid/late February or even March.
No news from my Taiwan deputy yet, but the holiday period is likely to be similar. The Japanese shopping service is business as usual.
During this period, I will be busy with Chinese New Year stuff as well, so expect slower replies.

Chinese New Year is in end January, but many Chinese will take leave or go on holiday by as early as mid January to make their way back home. On top of that, many services will be affected during the Chinese New Year, such as the domestic and international postal services.

Due to an overwhelming amount of sales activities on 11 November (major shopping day in China), courier companies and postal services have warned of slower than usual processing of parcels for shipping overseas. Waiting time may go up by twice the usual number of days. It is estimated that the crunch will be relieved by January next year. Please bear this in mind when placing your orders.
